Porto are reportedly interested in signing Mamadou Sakho on a loan deal. Should Liverpool use the interest to sign Bruno Martins Indi?

According to reports from A Bola, Portuguese giants Porto are interested in securing the services of Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho.
Sakho has most certainly endured a tumultuous period over the last few months and the future of the defender is very unclear at the moment.
Sakho was banned by UEFA back in April for testing positive for a “fat-burning” substance called Higenamine but eventually the charges against the defender was dropped as there was debate regarding as to whether the substance should even be on the WADA banned list.

Due to the ban, Sakho missed the Europa League final as well as the 2016 European Championships in France but the defender would certainly have been relieved to get the opportunity to play football once again.
However, Sakho seemed to fall out with manager Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States and the Reds’ boss decided to send the Frenchman back home prematurely for disciplinary breaches.
Sakho has not featured at all this season due to fitness problems but it is believed that Klopp is ready to dispense with the services of the 26-year-old and the Telegraph recently reported that Stoke City were interested in signing him on loan.

Now according to reports from A Bola, it has been claimed that even Portuguese giants Porto are keen on securing the services of Sakho.
It remains to be seen if Sakho would be open to joining Porto but Liverpool could view the Dragons’ interest in the defender as an opportunity to boost their hopes of signing Bruno Martins Indi, as reported by Sky Sports.
Liverpool have been in the market to sign Martins Indi for a while now but the Reds have been unable to seal a deal for the Dutch international due to disagreements over the asking price, according to A Bola.
In the wake of Porto’s interest in Sakho though, Liverpool have been provided with some leverage and they should now look to broker a move for Martins Indi for a cut-price fee in any prospective deal taking the French international to the Estádio do Dragão.
