Tottenham face AC Milan in Champions League action on Tuesday evening, and, luckily for Spurs, they may be coming up against the only team in this competition in worse form than themselves.

Indeed, while Tottenham have been torrid as of late, Milan have been on their own interesting run of form.

The San Siro outfit have won just one of their last seven games, and during that period they endured a spell where they conceded 12 goals in three games.

Needless to say, this is a Milan side that can be gotten at, but in order for Spurs to win here, they’ll need to step up a level.

A 4-1 loss to Leicester at the weekend was embarrassing and their misery was only compounded by a season-ending injury to Rodrigo Bentancur.

Tottenham need to be at their best to get a result here, and with that in mind, we’ve had a go at predicting Spurs’ starting XI for this one.

Tottenham predicted XI vs Milan

We think Spurs will make four changes from the side that lost to Leicester.

Cristian Romero returns as his Premier League suspension doesn’t carry over to European action, while Pedro Porro drops out after one of the worst debuts you’re likely to ever see.

Emerson Royal comes into the team, while Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Ivan Perisic retain their sports.

The midfield pairing of Oliver Skipp and Pape Matar Sarr isn’t one we can remember seeing before, but with Bentancur and Yves Bissouma injured and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg suspended, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Meanwhile, Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski all keep their spots in the attack.

Spurs have a great chance to get their season back on track with a Champions League run, and that can start against Milan on Tuesday evening.
