The central midfielder was handed his debut by Rochdale boss Keith Hill in October and Morley has gone on to make six appearances for the League One promotion hopefuls.

Morley’s emergence at Rochdale has not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid with clubs from the Championship and Premier League keeping tabs on the teenager’s progress.

Wolves are now hoping to steal a march on their rivals by making a move for Morley as they hope to lure the exciting young talent to Molineux.

Morley is a first-year scholar at Rochdale and Wolves are hoping to persuade them to cash-in on the youngster with a six-figure bid.

News of Wolves’ bid for Morley could lead to other suitors of the player firm up their interest in the teenager during this month’s transfer window.
