HITC Sport understands West Bromwich Albion want Watford star to solve goal-scoring problems.

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew has made Troy Deeney his top striking target in this month’s transfer window, HITC Sport understands.
Pardew has made striking reinforcements one of his main priorities this month as he looks to steer West Brom to safety in the Premier League.
The Baggies have struggled for goals this season and are the second lowest scorers in the league with just 16 goals in 22 games.
Their lack of goals has been a contributing factor to their poor form in the campaign, with West Brom currently second from bottom of the table and four points adrift of safety.

Pardew is now targeting a move for Watford forward Deeney to fire West Brom to safety and is calling on the club’s board to back his move for the 29-year-old.
Deeney’s future at Watford has been the subject of speculation, with the Hornets captain failing to hold down a regular spot in Marco Silva’s starting XI this season.
Deeney has started just seven Premier League games so far this term with another six coming from the bench, with Andre Gray Silva’s preferred choice in attack.
Watford would be reluctant to lose Deeney without bringing in a replacement, but the player could be tempted to move on in search of regular first-team football and West Brom would offer him the chance to return his native Midlands.
