HITC Sport understands Watford to step up interest in Sunderland star.
Didier N’dong could leave Sunderland
Watford are planning to make a move for Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong before the close of the transfer window, HITC Sport understands.
Watford have been linked with a Ndong throughout this month’s transfer window and new Hornets boss Javi Gracia is keen to bring the midfielder to Vicarage Road.
Gracia is ready to make some moves in the transfer market before next week’s deadline as he looks to strengthen his options having taken over at Vicarage Road last week.
Ndong, who has made 18 appearances for Sunderland in the Championship this season, is currently suspended after being sent off against Cardiff City earlier this month.

The Gabon international has been in and out of the side this season and has featured less frequently following the arrival of Chris Coleman as manager.
Coleman knows he must offload some players at the Stadium of Light if he going to be able to strengthen his squad elsewhere.
Sunderland are happy to let Ndong leave, but would prefer to sell him with Watford holding out to take him on loan initially with a view to a permanent deal.
