HITC Sport understands Championship rivals eye QPR defender.
QPR’s Darnell Furlong in action
Aston Villa, Reading and Preston North End have made enquiries for Queens Park Rangers defender Darnell Furlong, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Right-back Furlong is highly-regarded at QPR after coming through the ranks at Loftus Road.
Furlong made his debut for QPR in the Premier League in the 2014/15 season, making three appearances in the side after catching the eye in the club’s under-21s.
The 21-year-old is back at QPR after a successful loan spell at League One side Swindon Town during the first half of the season.

Furlong impressed during his loan stint at Swindon scoring twice and laying on five assists in 25 appearances for the Robins this season and Ian Holloway called him back to Loftus Road soon after he took over as manager from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
The attacking full-back has made just one appearance since his return to QPR and interested clubs are keeping tabs on his situation, with Furlong’s current contract due to expire in the summer.
Villa, Reading and Preston are all thought to be looking to bolster their right-back options during this month’s transfer window and Furlong has emerged on their radars as a top target.
