HITC Sport understands Wigan midfielder Josh Laurent is set to join Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury Town have agreed a fee with Wigan Athletic for Josh Laurent, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Laurent joined Wigan from Hartlepool in January 2017, but he has struggled to hold down a regular place in the first-team.
The 23-year-old made only one appearance during his debut season and made three appearances in cup competitions last season before joining Bury on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day last summer.
Laurent made 22 appearances for Bury last season, scoring one goal and providing one assist during his time at Gigg Lane.

The all-action midfielder is well down the pecking order in Paul Cook’s plans at Wigan and with the club preparing for life in the Championship, they are happy to let the player move on in search of regular first-team football.
New Shrewsbury boss John Askey is a big admirer of Laurent and he feels the former Queens Park Rangers trainee will be a valuable addition to his plans.
Laurent has been given permission by Wigan to hold talks and undergo a medical at Shrewsbury and he is now poised to become the League One club’s latest new signing as they look to build on last season’s success of reaching the play-off final.
