Brighton’s Danny Holla shoots at goal
HITC Sport understands Sheffield United are lining up a move for former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Danny Holla.
Holla is a free agent after cancelling his contract at Brighton last week by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old Dutchman joined the Championship club in summer 2014 and had one year remaining on his deal at the Amex Stadium, but with the midfielder well down the pecking order in Chris Hughton’s plans, both parties have decided to go their separate ways.

Holla has played twice in the EFL Cup this season but only featured four times in all competitions for Brighton in the 2015-16 campaign.

The defensive midfielder in total made 33 appearances and scored one goal during his two years at the south coast club.
News of Holla’s availability on a free transfer has alerted a host of clubs in England and Holland, but Sheffield United are considering offering him a deal to Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder
Blades boss Chris Wilder is in the market for a defensive midfielder as he looks to shore up his side’s defensive problems and he is weighing up a move for Holla.
Pre-season promotion favourites Sheffield United have endured a difficult start to the new League One season, having won just one of their opening five games.
