HITC Sport understands Scunthorpe are lining up move for Rochdale defender Harrison McGahey.

Scunthorpe are planning a raid on League One rivals Rochdale to sign defender Harrison McGahey, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Scunthorpe are determined to bolster their defensive ranks when the transfer window reopens in January and McGahey has emerged as a top target.
The Iron have the worst defensive record in League One this season, having conceded 47 goals in 22 matches and Scunthorpe boss Stuart McCall is desperate to address his side’s defensive deficiencies.
McGahey has impressed at Rochdale since joining the club from Sheffield United in the summer of 2016.

The towering central defender has established himself as one of the best defenders in League One and has been a key man in Keith Hill’s side.
The 23-year-old, who has made over 100 appearances for Rochdale, started his career at Blackpool but was quickly snapped up by Sheffield United after caching the eye at Bloomfield Road.
McGahey still has 18 months to run on his current Rochdale contract after signing a new deal in the summer and it remains to be seen if they would consider losing the centre-back to one of their relegation rivals.
