HITC Sport understands Salford are eyeing a move for Rochdale star Ian Henderson.

Rochdale attacker Ian Henderson has emerged as a target for ambitious League Two new boys Salford City, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Salford are preparing for their first season in the Football League after winning promotion from the National League and they are plotting a move for Rochdale’s Henderson.
Henderson is widely regarded as one of the best wingers in the Football League after spells at Norwich, Northampton, Luton, Colchester and Rochdale.
The 34-year-old has made over 570 appearances in his career to date, scoring 144 goals across all the clubs he has played for.

Henderson has spent the last six seasons at Rochdale and he has established himself as a key man at the club and is the captain at Spotland.
The skilful attacker is entering the final year of his contract at Rochdale and Salford are ready to test Rochdale’s resolve to hang on to Henderson this summer.
Salford believe Henderson’s quality and vast experience would make him a valuable addition to their plans for next season as they look to mount a challenge for promotion to League One.
