HITC Sport understands Rotherham ready to keep faith with interim boss.
Rotherham United caretaker manager Paul Warne
Rotherham United are ready to offer caretaker manager a long-term deal to become permanent boss, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Warne has impressed the Rotherham hierarchy after taking charge of first-team affairs in difficult circumstances.
The 43-year-old took over on a temporary basis when Kenny Jackett resigned in November after just five games in charge of the Millers.
Rotherham have struggled all season and Warne is currently their third new manager this term after Alan Stubbs and Jackett.
Warne, who stepped up from fitness coach to become caretaker manager, agreed to remain in charge of Rotherham until the end of the season last month, but now the club are considering giving the former Millers midfielder the job on a full-time basis.
Warne has been in charge for 14 games since replacing Jackett and he has won just three games in the Championship, losing ten.

However, Rotherham’s board have been impressed at how Warne has stablised the club in such a difficult period with the side now 14 points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Championship table.
Rotherham were set to assess their managerial options in the summer, but the club are ready to ask Warne to become the club’s full-time manager as they prepare for next season.
