HITC Sport understands Reading join race for free agent defender.

Reading are lining up a move for Barnsley’s Andy Yiadom on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands.
Yiadom is out of contract at Barnsley this summer and seems certain to leave the club on a free transfer following their relegation from the Championship.
A number of clubs have been monitoring Yiadom’s situation at Barnsley, ready to move for him on a free transfer when his contract expires.
Yiadom came close to joining Swansea last summer only for the move to fall through at the eleventh hour as the paperwork had not been completed in time before the transfer deadline and the Swans remain interested in the player.

Leeds have also been credited with an interest in the attacking full-back with Whites boss Paul Heckingbottom keen to be reunited with Yiadom having worked with him during his time in charge of Barnsley.
Reading are hoping to win the race for Yiadom with Royals chief Paul Clement a long-term admirer of the player having tried to sign him when he was in charge of Swansea.
Clement is looking to make big changes to the Reading squad this summer following a disappointing campaign, which saw them just avoid relegation on the final day of the season.
