Adam Thompson of Bury heads the ball clear from Andy Williams of Northampton Town
A number of Championship and League One clubs are lining up moves for Bury defender Adam Thompson this summer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Thompson has been a standout performer for Bury so far this season and has been an ever-present for them in League Two.
The centre-back has been instrumental in Bury’s push for promotion back to League One with a number of commanding performances for the Shakers.
Thompson’s form has seen him tipped to be recalled to the Northern Ireland squad having been in four previous squads in 2017.

The 26-year-old will be entering the final year of his contract at Gigg Lane this summer and his suitors are actively monitoring his situation at Bury.
The likes of Championship duo Bolton and Rotherham as well as League One hopefuls Peterborough and Charlton have been making regular checks on the stopper this season.
Bury would be reluctant to lose such a key player as Thompson especially if they win promotion this season, but they are bracing themselves for interest in the former Watford man come this summer as a result of his consistent performances this term.
