Norwich City are poised to sign Lincoln City defender Sean Raggett, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Raggett’s future at Lincoln has been the subject of speculation this summer with a number of clubs keeping tabs on the powerful central defender.
The likes of West Ham United, Sunderland and Peterborough United have all been credited with an interest in Raggett, but Norwich are set to win the race for the 24-year-old by signing him and then loaning him back to Lincoln for the season.
Raggett caught the eye last season as Lincoln won the National League title to return to the Football League, and he scored the winning goal in their FA Cup fifth round win over Burnley to help them reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup in a remarkable run.
Raggett made 47 appearances for Lincoln last season, scoring seven goals, after joining from Dover last year and he has started all three games for Lincoln so far this term.

The towering defender was enterting the final 12 month on his contract and with the player having a release clause in his contract Lincoln were resigned to losing him, but were keen to have Raggett back on loan as part of any deal.
Norwich head coach Daniel Farke sees Raggett as one for the future at Carrow Road and is happy for him to stay at Lincoln this season and get valuable Football League experience under his belt.
