HITC Sport understands Norwich are set to hand in-demand midfielder Ben Godfrey a new deal.

Norwich City are in talks with midfielder Ben Godfrey over a new deal as they look to fend off growing interest in the player, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
A number of clubs, including Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City have been tracking Godfrey this summer, but Norwich are determined to keep the 20-year-old and are prepared to tie him down to a new long-term contract.
Godfrey impressed on loan at Shrewsbury Town last season making 51 appearances in all competitions and was instrumental in helping the club reach the League One play-off final only to lose to Rotherham United.
Godfrey joined Norwich from York City in 2016 and he is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Carrow Road.

The powerful midfielder, who can also play in defence, is expected to break into the Norwich first-team next season and the club want to reward him for his progress with fresh terms.
Godfrey has made only six appearances for Norwich since his arrival, but Canaries boss Daniel Farke is ready to give him his chance in the first-team ahead of the new season starting next month.
