Manchester City youngster James Horsfield is poised to join Dutch club NAC Breda on a permanent deal after impressing on loan last season, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Horsfield spent the second half of last season on loan at NAC Breda and helped them win promotion back to the Eredivise via the play-offs.
The 21-year-old scored one goal and created three assists for NAC Breda and the club were keen to bring him back to the club as they prepare for next season back in the top-flight.
Versatile performer Horsfield is predominantly a right-back, but he can play in central defence as well as midfield.

Horsfield, who came through the youth ranks at City, never made a first-team appearance for the club, but he was named in the squad for a game against Leicester in 2015.
Horsfield also had a loan spell at Doncaster Rovers, playing three games for them during the 2015/16 season.
With his chances of breaking into City’s star-studded first-team limited Horsfield has decided to move on and join NAC Breda in search of regular first-team football.
City enjoy a working partnership with NAC Breda, having sent several players on loan to the club and now Horsfield is set to join the Dutch side on a permanent basis.
