Luton boss Nathan Jones is building a side capable of winning promotion from League Two this season and he sees Berry as being a key addition to his plans.
Berry, who is in his second spell at Cambridge after a one-year stint at Barnsley in 2014-15, came through the youth ranks at Cambridge and made 237 appearances in all competitions, scoring 59 times.
