HITC Sport understands Leicester are poised to win race for Norwich star Maddison.

Leicester City are set to beat Southampton in the race to sign Norwich City midfielder James Maddison, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Premier League duo Leicester and Southampton both agreed fees of £22million with Norwich for Maddison over the weekend, but the player prefers a move to Leicester.
Maddison is one the most highly-regarded players outside the Premier League after impressing for Norwich last season in the Championship.

The attacking midfielder scored 15 goals and provided eight assists last season for Norwich and broke into the England Under-21 set-up.
Norwich were reluctant to lose Maddison, but have decided to cash-in on the former Coventry City youngster once their valuation of £20million plus was met.
A number of clubs have been keeping tabs on Maddison following his impressive performances last season and Leicester and Southampton both firmed up their interest with bids.

Maddison, who made 49 appearances for Norwich last season, has opted to choose a move to Leicester over Southampton as he looks to make the step up to the Premier League.
Maddison is expected to undergo a medical and hold talks with Leicester inside the next 24 hours with the club hopeful of finalising the move.
Maddison is now in line to become Leicester’s third new signing of the summer following the arrivals of Ricardo Pereira and Jonny Evans.
