Leeds United defender Tom Pearce has ended speculation over his future by agreeing a new deal at the club, HITC Sport understands.
Pearce, whose existing deal was due to expire next month, has agreed a new three-year deal to extend his stay at Elland Road.
The full-back was linked with a possible move away from Leeds this summer after attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.
Premier League clubs were monitoring Pearce’s contract situation at Leeds following his impressive emergence into the first-team this season.
The 20-year-old, who has come through the club’s academy after leaving Everton in 2014, broke into the first-team at the back end of the campaign, making five appearances and scoring his first goal for the club in the win over Barnsley.
News of Pearce’s new deal will come as a massive boost to Leeds as they feared losing the exciting prospect to a Premier League club for minimal compensation.
