HITC Sport understands Hull City goalkeeper Mannion is a loan target for a number of League One sides.
A number of League One clubs are chasing highly-rated Hull City goalkeeper Will Mannion on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Mannion is set to find himself slip down the pecking order at Hull with the impending arrival of George Long from Sheffield United and the Tigers are considering loaning him out so that he can get regular first-team football under his belt.
Hull are keen to bring in Long as cover and competition to first-choice goalkeeper David Marshall following Allan McGregor’s move to Rangers earlier this summer.
20-year-old Mannion made his debut for Hull last season, playing in one EFL Cup game against Doncaster Rovers last August.
Mannion also had a short spell on loan at League One Plymouth where he played one game following a goalkeeping crisis at Home Park.
Hull have high hopes for Mannion after signing him from AFC Wimbledon in the summer of 2016 with the Tigers being ordered to pay £425,000 in compensation to AFC Wmbledon for Mannion after a tribunal.
Hull are happy to loan out Mannion as he is well down the pecking order KCOM Stadium and they feel he will benefit by going out on loan next season.
The news has alerted a number of League One clubs who have all expressed an interest in taking the England youth international on loan.
