HITC Sport understands Kenny Jackett is set to be named new Portsmouth manager.
Kenny Jackett in line for Portsmouth job
Portsmouth are poised to name former Millwall and Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett as their new manager, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Newly-promoted Portsmouth are looking for a new manager after Paul Cook left the club to join Wigan earlier this week, despite them leading them to promotion from League Two this season.
Portsmouth are keen to bring in a new man as soon as possible to succeed Cook and Jackett has emerged as their top target.

Jackett has been coaching at Tottenham’s academy since leaving Rotherham United last November after just five games and 39 days in charge of the South Yorkshire club.
The 55-year-old has been linked with a number of managerial vacancies since leaving Rotherham, but Jackett has been waiting for the right opportunity to come along.
Jackett boasts a wealth of managerial experience after spells with Watford, Swansea City, Millwall, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Rotherham and he has won twice previously won promotion from League One with Millwall and Wolves.
Portsmouth see Jackett as the right man to take the club forward as they look to try and get back into the Premier League after their fall from grace in recent seasons.
