HITC Sport understands Ipswich are poised to sign Bristol Rovers striker Ellis Harrison.

Ipswich are set to sign highly-rated Bristol Rovers striker Ellis Harrison with the player undergoing a medical at Portman Road, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Bristol Rovers have confirmed they have agreed an undisclosed fee with an ‘unnamed club’ for the sale of Harrison and HITC Sport understands the mystery club is Ipswich.
Harrison has been given permission to miss Bristol Rovers’ pre-season training camp in Holland and has now travelled for talks and a medical at Ipswich.
New Ipswich boss Paul Hurst is a big fan of Harrison, having come up against him last season while he was in charge of Shrewsbury and he sees him as a vital addition to his plans at Portman Road.

A number of clubs have been chasing Harrison this summer after he impressed last season when he finished as Bristol Rovers’ top scorer with 14 goals.
Bristol Rovers have been reluctant to lose their prize asset, but have accepted Ipswich’s offer in the region of £750,000.
Harrison will boost Ipswich’s strike options ahead of the new season following David McGoldrick’s departure in the summer.
Harrison is now set to become Hurst’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Gwion Edwards, Jordan Roberts and Trevoh Chalobah.
