HITC Sport understands Ipswich are lining up move for free agent James Collins.
Former West Ham United defender James Collins is being lined up for a move to Ipswich Town, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Collins is a free agent after surprisingly leaving West Ham earlier this summer when his contract expired.
Former Wales international Collins has spent 10 years at West Ham during two spells at the club, making over 200 appearances for the Hammers. Collins joined West Ham from Cardiff in 2005 and was sold to Aston Villa four years later before returning in 2012.
Collins has been training with West Ham to maintain his fitness as he looks to find a new club.
A number of sides have shown an interest in Collins, and now Ipswich are ready to offer the 35-year-old a chance to move to Portman Road.
