Huddersfield Town are poised to sign Alex Pritchard after finally agreeing a deal with Norwich City, HITC Sport understands.

Huddersfield have been chasing the former Tottenham midfielder since the transfer window opened and they saw their opening couple of offers rejected for Pritchard.

Terriers boss David Wagner confirmed last weekend that he was interested in signing Pritchard and it looks like he is finally set to land his man.

Pritchard has caught the eye in recent weeks after returning from an ankle injury and he impressed in last weekend’s draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Wagner has been looking to add some creativity to his side as they have struggled for goals this season, especially away from home, and he sees Pritchard as someone who add guile to the team.

Former England Under 21 international Pritchard joined Norwich from Tottenham for £8million in the summer of 2016 after finding his path to the first-team at Tottenham blocked.

Pritchard made 43 appearances for the Canaries during his 18 months at the club, scoring eight goals and laying on 11 assists.

The 24-year-old will become Huddersfield’s second signing in the transfer window following the arrival of Holland international Terence Kongolo on loan from Monaco.
