HITC Sport understands former Nottingham Forest defender set for Russian move
Nottingham Forest’s Bojan Jokic in action with Birmingham City’s Jon Toral
Former Nottingham Forest loanee Bojan Jokic is poised to join Russian Premier League side FK Ufa, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Jokic is a free agent after cancelling his contract at Villarreal by mutual consent in January so that he could find himself a new club.
A number of English clubs had been considering a move for the 30-year-old, but Ufa have moved quickly to agree a deal to bring him to Russia.
The likes of Bristol City, Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers were all linked with Jokic during the January transfer window with the player keen to return to England after a successful spell on loan at Forest last season.
Jokic spent the second half of last season on loan at Forest and he made 21 appearances for the Reds during his time at the City Ground.

However, Forest opted not to take up the option to turn Jokic’s loan into a permanent deal, with the club preferring to look for new players under then-new manager Philippe Montanier.
Jokic has a wealth of international experience having won over 80 caps for Slovenia and he played against England in their 0-0 draw in their World Cup qualifying clash last October.
