HITC Sport understands former Chelsea midfielder Houghton is set to join MK Dons.

MK Dons are poised to sign former Chelsea midfielder Jordan Houghton on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Houghton is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Chelsea earlier this summer.
The 22-year-old has come through the ranks at Chelsea having joining the club at Under-8 level.
The talented midfielder never made a first-team appearance for Chelsea during his time at Stamford Bridge, but he did help them win the FA Youth Cup in 2014.

Houghton has spent the last few seasons out on loan as he found the pathway to the first-team at Chelsea blocked.
The former England Under-20 international had his first spell out on loan at Gillingham in the summer of 2015 before joining Plymouth later that season.
Houghton has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Doncaster Rovers and he helped them to win promotion to League One in the 2016/17 campaign.

A number of clubs have expressed an interest in signing Houghton this summer, but MK Dons have moved quickly to agree a deal with the player.
MK Dons boss Paul Tisdale is a big fan of the midfielder and sees him as a key addition to his plans as he wants to lead them back to League One at the first time of asking next season.
