HITC Sport understands Nottingham Forest forward set to rejoin National League Barrow side on loan.
Nottingham Forest attacker Lewis Walters has agreed a deal to rejoin National League side Barrow until the end of the season, HITC Sport understands.
Walters had a one-month spell on loan at Barrow last December and made two appearances for the club during his loan stint
The 22-year-old returned to the City Ground in January, but he is well down the pecking order in Aitor Karanka’s first-team plans.
Walters joined Forest September 2016 following his release by Leeds but has yet to make his first-team debut for the club.
Walters has been a regular for Forest’s Under-23s, but the Championship club feel he would be best served by going out on loan to get valuable first-team action under his belt.
Barrow find themselves in 20th place in the National League and they are battling to avoid a relegation fight for the final few weeks of the season.
Walters is set to go straight into the Barrow squad for this weekend’s clash with National League leaders Macclesfield Town.
Walters, who can play as a striker or on the wing, came through the ranks at Leeds, but never made a first-team appearance for the club during his time at Elland Road.
