HITC Sport understands Fleetwood are lining up move for former Norwich star and free agent Wes Hoolahan.

Fleetwood Town are weighing up a move for free agent Wes Hoolahan following his departure from Norwich at the end of last season, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Hoolahan left Norwich last May after 10 years at the club following his arrival from Blackpool in the summer of 2008.
The skilful attacker made 352 appearances for Norwich playing across the top three divisions in the country and earned legendary status amongst the club’s fans.
A number of clubs at home and abroad have shown an interest in the former Republic of Ireland international, but Fleetwood are considering offering the playmaker a deal at Highbury.

Fleetwood boss Joey Barton is understood to be an admirer of Hoolahan and feels his creativity and experience could make him a valuable addition to his plans.
Barton has been busy in the transfer market reshaping his squad at Fleetwood and he could now be ready to offer Hoolahan a short-term deal to join the League One side.
Fleetwood have made a solid start to the season with four points from their opening three games, but Hoolahan’s potential arrival could bolster their attacking options as they look to make a push for promotion this term.
