Everton open talks with midfielder over new deal, HITC Sport understands.

Everton have opened contract talks with highly-rated midfielder Tom Davies, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Davies, who has come through the ranks at Goodison Park, broke into the first-team at the back end of last season after impressing for the club’s under-21s.
The 18-year-old was handed his Premier League debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Southampton in April before being given his first start on the final day of last season against Norwich City.

The midfield dynamo turned in a man-of-the-match performance in a 3-0 win over Norwich and Everton have high hopes for Davies.
Davies captained England Under-17 at the 2015 World Cup in Chile and he was invited to train with the England senior squad last October after catching the eye of the Three Lions’ coaching staff.
Davies signed his first professional with Everton last September, but with the player entering the final year of his contract the Toffees are keen to secure him on a new long-term contract.

The teenager is highly regarded within the corridors of power at Goodison Park and Davies is expected to play a part in manager Ronald Koeman’s plans for the upcoming season.
