HITC Sport understands Luton are poised to sign Derby midfielder George Thorne.

Derby County midfielder George Thorne is set to join League One high-fliers Luton Town on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Luton boss Nathan Jones is looking to add quality to his squad in the January transfer window to boost their promotion bid and he has lined up a move for Thorne.
Thorne has found himself well down the pecking order at Derby this season under Frank Lampard and has not featured in the first-team this term.
The 25-year-old is unlikely to break into Lampard’s plans in the second half of the season with the Rams challenging for promotion to the Premier League and Derby are happy to loan out Thorne so that he can get valuable first-team action under his belt.

Thorne, who joined Derby from West Bromwich Albion in 2014 after a successful loan spell, has seen his progress at Pride Park blighted by a series of serious injuries.
Luton have moved quickly for Thorne after losing midfielder Glen Rea for the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
Luton currently sit second in League One, five points behind leaders Portsmouth and two ahead of Sunderland, and are well-placed to win promotion back to the Championship this season.
