Derby County and Birmingham City are weighing up moves for Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Huddlestone’s future has been the subject of speculation with the player having a clause in his contract allowing him to leave Hull this summer for a cut-price £2million in the wake of the Tigers’ relegation from the Premier League.
The news of Huddlestone’s availability for a bargain fee has alerted a number of Premier League and Championship clubs as they look to bolster their midfield options.
Huddlestone has spent the last four years at Hull after joining from Tottenham in the summer of 2013.

The 30-year-old is still regarded as one of the most creative players around and his range of passing helps him link defence with attack.
Derby boss Gary Rowett is keen to build a side capable of winning promotion from the Championship next season and he is keen on luring Huddlestone back to his first club.
Huddlestone made 88 appearances for Derby before leaving for Tottenham in 2005 and a return to his boyhood club could appeal to the former England international.
Birmingham manager Harry Redknapp is also looking to assemble a side to challenge for promotion next season and he is a huge admirer of Huddlestone having worked with him during his time in charge of Tottenham.
Huddlestone played some of his best football under Redknapp and the Blues boss would love to be reunited with him at St Andrew’s.
