Coventry City and Doncaster Rovers are among several Football League clubs keeping tabs on highly-rated Scarborough Athletic goalkeeper Tommy Taylor, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Taylor has impressed for Evo-Stik Premier Division side Scarborough Athletic since joining the club in the summer of 2017.

The former Sheffield Wednesday trainee helped Scarborough Athletic win promotion from Evo-Stik First Division North in his debut season as they finished second in the table.

Taylor’s fine form saw him win a number of awards at the club’s Player of the Year awards at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.

The 26-year-old has continued his impressive form into this season, helping Scarborough Athletic into fifth place in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Taylor’s outstanding performances have brought him to the attention of clubs higher up the football pyramid, with scouts from Coventry and Doncaster Rovers making regular checks on the athletic ‘keeper.

Coventry and Doncaster are weighing up moves for Taylor in the summer and Scarborough Athletic are bracing themselves for offers for their star stopper.
