HITC Sport understands Forest Green boss is in running for Doncaster job.

Forest Green Rovers boss Mark Cooper is in the frame for the vacant manager’s job at Doncaster Rovers, sources close to the club have told HITC Sport.
League One Doncaster Rovers are searching for a new manager after Darren Ferguson’s resignation at the Keepmoat Stadium earlier this week.
Ferguson left Doncaster after nearly three seasons in charge of the South Yorkshire club and he guided them to a 15th place finish last season after leading them to promotion from League Two in 2017.

A number of names have been linked with the Doncaster job, including the likes of Stuart McCall, Simon Grayson and Grant McCann and Forest Green boss Cooper is believed to be among the contenders.
Cooper guided unfancied Forest Green to survival last season in League Two against all the odds in their first season in the Football League.
The 49-year-old lead the side to promotion to League Two in his first full season in charge by winning the National League play-off final.

Cooper boasts a wealth of managerial experience having had spells at Swindon Town, Peterborough United, Notts County, Darlington and Kettering.
The former Birmingham and Fulham midfielder has experience of working in League One after guiding Swindon to the 2015 League One play-off final and he has admirers within the Doncaster boardroom.
Forest Green would be reluctant to lose Cooper as they want him to build on the success he has achieved over the last two years in leading them into the Football League.
