HITC Sport understands Manchester City youngster set for loan move.

Manchester City defender Shay Facey is poised to join Heerenveen on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Facey is highly regarded at City, but he has found his first-team opportunities in City’s star-studded side limited.

The 21-year-old has enjoyed two spells out on loan in the last 18 months with City’s sister club in Major League Soccer New York City and Championship side Rotherham United.
Facey spent a season on loan at New York City, making 22 appearances for the club before joining Rotherham last January where he made five appearances under Neil Warnock.
Shay Facey set for another loan switch
A number of clubs have shown an interest in signing Facey on loan this summer, but Heerenveen have moved to agree a deal to take the former England youth international to Holland.
Facey has flown to Holland to undergo a medical before penning a season-long loan deal with the Dutch club with a view to a permanent deal.
City have loaned a number of their young players to clubs in Holland this summer and it looks like Facey will join the likes of Bersant Celina, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Enes Unal in playing in Eredivisie this season.
