HITC Sport understands a number of clubs are chasing Peterborough striker Matt Stevens on loan.

A host of Football League clubs are keen on taking Peterborough hot-shot Matt Stevens on loan during this month’s transfer window, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Stevens spent the first half of this season on loan at Slough Town and he impressed at the National League South side before being recalled by Peterborough in December.
The 20-year-old has been involved in the Peterborough first-team since his return from loan, being named on the bench for five games as well as playing over 30 minutes in the draw with Walsall before Christmas.
Stevens is highly-regarded at Peterborough and they tied him down to a new improved deal earlier this month as reward for his progress.

However, the recent arrival of Lee Tomlin has increased competition for places in the Peterborough side and Posh would consider loaning him out again in the second half of the season so that he can get regular game time.
A number of League One and League Two clubs are understood to have made enquiries about taking the prolific goalscorer on loan.
Peterborough beat a number of sides to Stevens’ signature in the summer of 2016 and he has had loan spells at Cambridge City, Sligo Rovers, Kettering Town and Slough Town during his time at London Road.
