HITC Sport understands the Cardiff City winger is in line for a new deal.

Premier League new boys Cardiff City are in talks with winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing over a new deal, HITC Sport understands.
Mendez-Laing only joined Cardiff last summer from Rochdale, but he quickly established himself as a key player in Neil Warnock’s side.
The 26-year-old scored seven goals and laid on six assists in his debut campaign to help Cardiff win promotion back to the Premier League.

Mendez-Laing made a flying start to his Cardiff career, with five goals in the opening weeks of the season to win the EFL Championship Player of the Month award for August.
The former Wolves youngster is entering the final year of his contract after only signing a two-year deal upon his arrival and Cardiff want to secure his future with a longer contract.

Talks are underway between both parties and securing Mendez-Laing’s future will come as a boost to Cardiff as they prepare for the season ahead.
Cardiff are looking to tie down a number of their stars with new contracts as reward for helping them win promotion from the Championship this season.
