HITC Sport understands Cardiff City are closing in on the Wales international.
Cardiff City are closing in on Wigan Athletic and Wales midfielder Emyr Huws, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club
Huws is well down the pecking order at Wigan and he spent last season on loan at Huddersfield Town.

The 22-year-old made 30 appearances and scored five goals for Huddersfield last season before returning to Wigan at the end of the campaign.
Huws did not feature in Wigan’s opening Championship defeat to Bristol City and Latics boss Gary Caldwell is understood to be willing to let him move on before the close of the transfer window.
New Cardiff boss Paul Trollope is on a recruitment drive of Welsh players after being told by Bluebirds owner Vincent Tan to get more young Welsh talent into the team.

Cardiff have already brought in Huws’ Wales international teammate Jazz Richards this summer and they are now looking to bring the central midfielder to the Cardiff City Stadium.
Huws came through the youth ranks at Swansea City before joining Manchester City in 2009, but he failed to break into City’s star-studded side and joined Wigan in the summer of 2014.
