HITC Sport understands Burton close in on Nottingham Forest attacker.

Burton Albion are lining up a move for Nottingham Forest forward Jamie Ward, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Burton boss Nigel Clough is keen to add to his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and he is hoping to lure Ward to the Brewers.

Clough is a big fan of Ward having worked with the Northern Ireland international during his time in charge of Derby County and he sees him as being a valuable addition to his plans at the Pirelli Stadium.
Ward’s future at Forest has been the subject of speculation this summer with the 30-year-old struggling to establish himself in the Forest side last season after his arrival on a free transfer 12 months ago.
Former Sheffield United man Ward has made just one start in the Championship so far this season with his other two appearances coming in the EFL Cup.
Forest manager Philippe Montanier is happy to let Ward go out on loan so that he can regular first-team football as his action is set to be limited at the City Ground this season.
