Lafferty joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan at the start of the campaign and he has quickly established himself at Bramall Lane.
The left-back has made 21 appearances for Sheffield United since his loan arrival and played a key role in helping them to the top of League One as they look to win promotion back to the Championship.

Laffery is well down the pecking order at Burnley and had two loan spells out at Oldham Athletic last season.
The former Celtic trainee has played only 45 games for Burnley since joining the club from Derry City in January 2012.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is happy to let Lafferty move on as he does not figure in his long-term plans at Turf Moor.
Northern Ireland international Lafferty is out of contract at Burnley at the end of the season and the club are willing to sell him for a nominal fee.
