HITC Sport understands Bristol Rovers to land free agent winger.

Bristol Rovers are poised to sign winger Kyle Bennett following his departure from Portsmouth, HITC Sport understands
Bennett cancelled his Portsmouth contract on transfer deadline day by mutual consent to allow him to find himself a new club.
The 27-year-old found himself out of favour at Portsmouth in recent weeks and had been an unused substitute in six of Pompey’s last seven matches.
Bennett joined Portsmouth in May 2015 and helped the club win promotion to League One last season.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers man only signed a new three-year deal at Portsmouth last summer, but he dropped down the pecking order in Kenny Jackett’s plans.

Portsmouth were happy to let Bennett move on as Jackett feels he has enough cover out wide for the remainder of the season.
A number of clubs were monitoring Bennett’s situation at Portsmouth and Bristol Rovers have acted quickly to secure the player following his release.
Bristol Rovers are currently in 11th spot in the League One table and Rovers boss Darrell Clarke feels Bennett will prove a valuable addition to his plans for the second half of the campaign.
