HITC Sport understands Bristol City are lining up move for Ipswich defender Adam Webster.

Bristol City are targeting a move for Ipswich Town defender Adam Webster as a replacement for Middlesbrough-bound Aden Flint, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Flint seems set to leave Bristol City for Championship rivals Middlesbrough after they agreed a fee for his services and the player travelling to Teesside for talks and a medical.

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson is wasting little time in trying to find a replacement for Flint and has lined up a move for Ipswich’s Webster.
Webster has established himself as one of the best young central defenders in the Championship since joining Ipswich from Portsmouth in the summer of 2016.
The 23-year-old has made 53 appearances for Ipswich and he would made a lot more only for some injury problems to hold up his progress at Portman Road.

A number of Premier League and Championship clubs have been keeping tabs on Webster for some time, but Bristol City are ready to test Ipswich’s resolve to hang onto the central defender.
Webster is entering the final year of his contract at Ipswich and the club would be loathe to let him run down his deal and potentially leave on a free transfer next summer.
