HITC Sport understands Sheffield Wednesday defender is set to join Bristol City.
Bristol City are on the verge of signing defender Jack Hunt from Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Hunt has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Championship after impressing at Wednesday and former club Huddersfield.
Hunt was entering the final year of his contract at Wednesday and Bristol City have moved to lure the defender away from Hillsborough.
The two clubs are understood to be in advanced talks over a deal and the move could be completed inside the next 24 hours.
Bristol City boss Lee Johnson has been busy in this summer’s transfer window bringing in Andreas Weimann, Marley Watkins, Hakeeb Adelakun, and Adam Webster so far and Hunt could be the latest new arrival at Ashton Gate.
The 27-year-old initially joined Wednesday on loan from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2015 before making the move permanent in the January transfer window of 2016.
Hunt has made 236 appearances in his career during spells at Huddersfield, Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.
