HITC Sport understands Brighton are closing in on Romanian striker Andone.

Brighton & Hove Albion are in advanced talks to sign Deportivo La Coruna striker Florin Andone and a deal could be done by the weekend, HITC Sport understands.
Brighton have held a long-term interest in Andone and considered a move for the Romanian international during the January transfer window.
Seagulls boss Chris Hughton has continued to keep tabs on the 25-year-old and he is ready to push through a deal for Andone as he looks to bolster his attacking options this summer ahead of next season.

Andone has scored 18 goals in 69 appearances for Deportivo since joining from Cordoba in the summer of 2016.
Deportivo La Coruna are resigned to losing Andone this summer following their relegation from La Liga and Brighton have moved quickly to set up a deal for the forward.
As a result of Deportivo’s relegation, Andone’s release clause has dropped to €6million (£5.2m) and Brighton are understood to have activated the clause.

Brighton have already signed Nigerian defender Leon Balogun on a free transfer this summer and it looks Andone will be the latest new arrival at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton secured survival in their first season in the Premier League this term and Hughton is keen to act quickly in this summer’s transfer window to add quality to his squad.
