HITC Sport understands Brighton eye Derby target Tom Lawrence.
Tom Lawrence in action for Wales
Premier League new boys Brighton & Hove Albion are planning a move for Leicester midfielder Tom Lawrence, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Lawrence is back at Leicester for pre-season after spending last season on loan in the Championship with Ipswich Town.
The Wales international impressed on loan at Ipswich, scoring 11 goals in 36 games during his stint at Portman Road and he was named the club’s Player of the Season for his exploits.
Lawrence’s performances at Ipswich have caught the eye of Brighton boss Chris Hughton and he thinks the former Manchester United youngster could be a valuable addition to his side as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old is entering the final year of his contract at Leicester and Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare has been impressed by the attacking midfielder during pre-season.
Leicester would like to keep hold of Lawrence, but with the player unlikely to be a regular starter in the side he could tempted away in search of regular first-team football.
Derby County have been chasing Lawrence all summer as Gary Rowett looks to build a side capbale of challenging for promotion next season, but the lure of the Premier League would make Brighton favourites for Lawrence’s signature.
