HITC Sport understands Brentford are ready to reduce their asking price for Swansea target Ryan Woods.
Brentford are prepared to lower their valuation of midfielder Ryan Woods to help strike a deal with Swansea before the close of the transfer window, HITC Sport understands.
Swansea have made classy midfielder Woods their top target this summer and have bid £6million for the former Shrewsbury man.
Woods is believed to be keen on a move to the Liberty Stadium and has been waiting on the two clubs to thrash out a deal.
The two clubs has yet to agree a fee with Brentford holding out for £7million for Woods before agreeing to his departure.
However, it is understood Brentford are prepared to meet Swansea half way and will do a deal for Woods if Swansea up their offer to £6.5million.
Brentford have been braced for Woods’ exit and will reluctantly agree to his exit if Swansea can up their offer by £500,000.
The move has been held as Swansea have been waiting to offload players before making signings of their own and if they are unable to raise funds from selling some player they could end up losing out on top targets like Woods.
