Brentford are in talks to sign highly-rated Walsall defender Rico Henry, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Brentford boss Dean Smith is ready to return to his old club to bring Henry to Griffin Park as he is a big fan of the talented left-back.

Henry is regarded as one of the best young prospects in the Football League and has attracted the interest of a number of Premier League and Championship clubs.

However, Brentford are hoping to beat their rivals to the signing of Henry and they are in advanced talks with Walsall over a deal for the 19-year-old.
Walsall are reluctant to lose Henry, but accept they cannot stand in his way of moving to play at a higher level and Brentford are close to meeting their valuation for the defender.
Henry is currently recovering from a dislocated shoulder he picked up earlier this month, but is expected to return to action after the international break.
Walsall have already lost the likes of Tom Bradshaw, Jason Demetriou and Romaine Sawyers this summer, and seeing Henry move on would come as another major blow to the League One side.
