HITC Sport understands Barnsley have won race for Premier League striker

Barnsley have won the race to sign Swansea striker Oliver McBurnie on loan, HITC Sport understands.
A number of clubs, including Sunderland and Rangers have been chasing McBurnie on loan during transfer deadline day, but Barnsley have managed to secure the Scotland Under-21 international.
Barnsley have held a long-term interest in McBurnie and thought they had signed the forward on transfer deadline day last summer only for the deal not be cleared by the Football League.
Tykes boss Paul Heckingbottom has continued to keep tabs on McBurnie and he has decided to push through a move for the rangy forward before the transfer deadline.

McBurnie has been in and around the Swansea side since the arrival of Carlos Carvalhal and made his first Premier League start against Liverpool over the Christmas period.
The 21-year-old has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Swansea this season, but only three of those have come from the start.
Swansea have allowed McBurnie out on loan with Andre Ayew on the verge of a move back to the Liberty Stadium and they feel McBurnie would be better served by playing regularly and gaining valuable first-team experience out on loan at Barnsley.
