Barnsley have agreed a deal to sign Queens Park Rangers defender Cole Kpekawa, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
As revealed by HITC Sport last week Barnsley had made a bid for the highly-rated 20-year-old as they look to bolster their defensive options before the close of the transfer window.

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has agreed to accept Barnsley’s offer as he is well down the pecking order in his first-team plans at Loftus Road.
Kpekawa has been given the green light to travel to Barnsley for talks and a medical on Tuesday and the club are hopeful of finalising his move in the nxt 24 hours.
Kpekwa has come through the ranks at QPR, having joined the London outfit at the age of eight.

The 20-year-old made his first-team debut in May 2015 after spells out on loan at Colchester United and Portsmouth.
Kpekwa had a three-month loan spell at Leyton Orient last season before returning to Loftus Road, and featured in four games for the Championship club at the back end of the campaign.
The England Under-20 international will help the fill the void left by Alfie Mawson’s departure from Barnsley to Swansea.
