Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah has left the club to join AFC Wimbledon.

Appiah has signed a three-year deal at AFC Wimbledon after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms with the League One club.

The 26-year-old, who joined Palace from Margate in 2012, has not featured for the Palace first-team since August 2013.

Appiah has had spells out on loan at Aldershot Town, Cambridge United, Notts County and AFC Wimbledon during his time with Palace and he has opted to join AFC Wimbledon on a permanent deal in search of regular first-team football.

The Ghana international has recently been on loan in Norway with Viking FK to regain his match fitness after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury last year while on international duty.

Appiah enjoyed a successful loan spell with AFC Wimbledon in 2014, scoring three goals in seven matches and the club have continued to keep tabs on his progress ever since.

AFC Wimbledon finished in 15th spot in League One last season and boss Neal Ardley is looking to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season.
