Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after Amazon Prime tweeted a hilarious clip of Steve Bruce on the touchline during the 0-0 draw with Liverpool.
The 19-second footage in question shows the Magpies boss’ reaction to seeing Callum Wilson’s first-half effort saved by Alisson Becker.
After the England international raced past Nat Phillips to put himself through on goal, the Brazilian glovesman turned his effort behind for a corner.
In response to the squandered opportunity, Bruce threw his hands up in the air.
He then accidentally elbowed the linesman in the head!
In fairness to the ex-Sunderland boss, he immediately checks to see if the official is okay, before wandering back to the dugout.
We can’t blame Bruce for being so oblivious to his surroundings.
His eyes must’ve lit up when Wilson burst past Phillips and bore down on Liverpool’s goal.
It was a very funny incident, and one which made Ally McCoist on co-commentary duty chuckle alongside Jon Champion at St James’ Park.
